Can Bleeding From The Nipple Be Indicative Of Cancer?

Hi.. I have bleeding from my left nipple. Initially, it was spontaneous leakage, only a small amount. That was 9 days ago. Since then it has only been when I express slightly. It is dark red blood. I am 49, no lump or pain. Is this likely to be cancer?

Hi thanks for contactibg HCM ...

You are having blood discharge from nipple.

Here so your physical examination and detail history taking should be done ...

Cosult surgeon for this.....

The surgeon will palpate your breast for any detectable mass that might not feel by your own ...

Than USG and mammography like investigation also done ....

According to cause treatment will be given ....
There might be duct ectasia , DCIS or infection like etiology for your case . ..

If USG detect any mass , than USG guided FNAC taken for further work up....

So you might need antibiotic and ibuprofen like medication or surgical management according to cause decided by above investigation....

Take care ....
