Can Bleeding Instead Of Menstruation Be Due To Pregnancy?

i am 31 years old and have pcos and since feb my period has been every month. this month my period was a week late but i started to bleed and i took it as my period but the bleeding has stopped after 1 day. ive done a pregnancy test and its negative. could i actually be pregnant but its just not showing up yet?
