Can Blocked Arteries Be Treated Without Bypass Surgery?

Hi. I am 66 on hemodialysis. I had a stent put in 4 yrs ago. My pulse went into the 40 s last year for 3 weeks and then went back up. I felt fine during period. Three weeks ago I started being rather short of breath. I went to Wake Forest who did tests including a catherization procedure. During the procedure they said they needed to come in from the leg rather than the arm. The next day I was told 3 arteries were blocked and I needed a bypass. I still walk my treadmill with no symptoms. I really don t want to destroy my structure and be left with it to live longer. Options? Mark

Hi,
Thanks for asking.
Based on your query, my opinion is as follows.
1. Multiple blocks require bypass surgery only.
2. You need to get the surgery now as it will deteriorate further.
3. As blocks are confirmed, even if less symptoms, better to get surgery now.
Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
