Can Bloody Mucus From The Nose Be A Nasal Infection?

I seem to have mucus in my nose that keeps hardening to the point it makes my nose soar. At first, I thought they were scablike because they would stick to the skin with a little resistance, then give way when I started picking at them. But, then they keep coming back...They get a little bloody, but it is mostly from when I picked them out before that the blood lingered and hardened to this point. Is this some kind of nasal infection?

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

In hot climate conditions, dehydration may cause dryness and gardening of mucousa.

So drink plenty of water and apply the normal saline nasal spray.

Don't do nasal pricking. If symptoms not improved please consult your physician/ENT specialist he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
