Can Bottom Rib Be Removed Without Any Adverse Effects On Health?

I have scoliosis and Harrington rod implanted. Last year during injections my neurologist discovered that my bottom rib is THREE times longer than it should be!!! After 40 years of pain and complaining..so many xrays etc. Is it possible to have this rib removed ? Where?? Thank you!
