Can Brazilian Blowout Treatment Causes Shingles In Nose?

i have a question. so long story but- i have reoccurring shingles in my nose. I know what they look like and when they are coming in. for the last year, i ve had a constant scab in my nose getting worse and worse. its now on both sides of my nose, is extremely painful and sore. the scabs aren t normal, they are kind of yellow with a slight hint of pink and smell really bad. i try not to pick them, but if i don t, they keep building up until they are hanging out of my nose. this isn t shingles. at first i thought it was because it was winter and it was dry, i got a humidifier and it did nothing. I ve put vaseline and neosporin up there, saline, you name it. i ve been reading so many different things that i just need some help figuring out what this is. i made an appointment for a dermatologist but i did read that this could be a sign of cancer. my nose isn t just dry either. it runs all the time and i have to use a q-tip to clear out any clear boogers but when i do that, a pinkish discharge comes out with the boogers. i can t touch my nose and any advice would be great as to what this could be. cancer runs strong in my family, i m a smoker and i m also a hairdresser and work a lot with harsh chemicals..i do A LOT of the brazillian blowout treatments (which produce a toxic formaldehyde gas) and i m wondering if thats becoming detrimental to my health. i have a couple moles that have recently popped up (which some look okay, others not so much)

Hi,

Brazilian blowout treatments are reported to have high formaldehyde content that is toxic for the consumers as well as the stylists & workers. This is reported by FDA.

Keratin-based straighteners are carcinogenic. According to a research study workers & salon workers have reported adverse effects in Respiratory & nervous system along with symptoms like rash, vomiting & chest pain in some.

You are recommended to see a dermatologist, get physically examined & treated at the earliest. Even if it is not cancer, you need to be evaluated for it. You need to be treated for Shingles before it affects your nerves & symptoms get worse.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
