Can Breastfeeding Cause Dryness And Itching On Nipples?
my son is 11 months and i still breast feed. he eats all foods and mostly bf at night. well on the botton of my nipple (bottom half of my areola) is super dry and flakey. also itches and when i scratch it gets super sensitive. im using lansinoh but that only helps for a while. what can this be???
You seem to have developed nipple dermatitis or nipple eczema. Such an eczematous condition is very common in lactating females . Adequate hydration and moisturisation of the nipples is very essential . You can see a nearby dermatologist to rule out any superadded fungal infections.
