Hello and welcome to ask a doctor service.

I reviewed your query and here is my answer.

Stroke can affect your every system depends upon which part of the brain is involved. But it is least likely to have shortness of breath after this long time of stroke. This shortness of breath may be due to your heart problem as you have valve surgery. Do you have hypertension? When did you get short of breath? Do you have cough? Are you anemic? You need to visit your primary doctor to rule out anemia, lung and heart problem. If it is because of heart, then he /she can refer you to a specialist.

Hope I have answered your query.
