Hello,

You banged your wrist and it was kind of purple. Now it is painful and you feel sick with it. You can apply ointment Thrombophob on the affected area. It will help to reduce blood clots below the skin. You can apply any ointment containing Benzyl Nicotinate (2mg) + Heparin (50IU), it will help to reduce blood clot and will also decrease the pain and swelling.

Orally you can take NSAIDS, Combiflam or Naproxen, one SOS when required after food. It will help to relieve your discomfort. However, you are suggested to get clinically examined by a GP, get neurovascular examination of the hand and the digits done. Get X-ray & other imaging tests done to detect decreased range of motion in the wrist, pain with movement of the wrist, development of swelling. fracture, wrist tendonitis, wrist contusion, etc.

Wrist contusion may be caused by a direct blow to the wrist. Bruising on the wrist could be caused by falling down on outstretched hands while leaning on them for support. Bruising on the wrist or wrist contusions commonly heal with rest, no treatment is required.

Your treatment will depend on the pathology detected. At present you can get compression bandage done to reduce swelling. Keep the affected wrist at rest and elevation of the affected wrist will help to reduce pain. A wrist sling may be helpful. Get clinically examined and treated at the earliest.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
