I had a horse accident about 4 weeks ago. I was seen at my local ER n they did chest X-ray n cat scan. I had fractured my orbital behind left eye. I saw a dr the following Monday n it was all good. I m now having more pain in my chest n discomfort up high like my chest bone. Cld I have bruised lungs causing this?

Hi,

Bruise over lungs if healed completely will not cause chest bone discomfort, but if in healing phase can give pain for sure.

Association with clinical examination and pattern of breathing sounds are very vital in this case to co relate the underlying cause and treat accordingly.

Till that time, assisted physiotherapy, analgesic and anti-inflammatory medications, adoption of postural changes will help great in this instance.

Avoid weight lifting and strenuous work at present.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
