I recently had to abruptly stop a migraine medicine propranlol and it was abruptly.
However I keep getting constant dark painful bruises on the side of my shins hips and the back lower part of my calves. What is wrong with me?

Hello,

Bruises are caused by minor traumas when a blood clotting or coagulation condition is present. Problems in blood clotting result from different blood diseases ( hemophilia, low platelets etcetera) or by the use of some drugs that interfere with coagulation or aggregation of platelets. Propranolol isn’t known for properties or effects in blood clotting or coagulation. Anyway, you need absolutely to see a doctor and make at least a blood count test and coagulation tests.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olsi Taka
