Can Bruising & Pain In Stomach And Nausea Be Normal After Hysterectomy?

Hi there. I had my hysterectomy laporoscopically, Bladder sling, anterior and posterior repair. I am 54 years old. I am trying to stay in bed and take it as easy as possible. I was sent home with very little info. Things I have experienced so far: black and blue stomach, pain in the groin on either side which felt like ingrown hairs which I found were the incisions the bladder sling. Bleeding. Abdominal pain especially when I sit down on toilet it feels like my stomach is ripping open, like when I was pregnant. I feel like I need to hold my stomach when I move. What I have new today is nausea and dizziness but no fever. Are all of these normal? I am very concerned about the dizziness that started today.

The symptoms you are experiencing is completely expected following surgery. Nothing to be worried. If needed apply ice pack on the area of pain and continue the pain medications provided. Take adequate rest and avoid strenuous activity.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
