Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Can Caffeine Cause Sweating And Weakness Just Before Dinner?
I am experiencing sweating, shakiness, and weakness several times a month. The incidents usually occur at the same time of day - just before dinner. I first noticed these occurrences this summer. I assumed I was overheated. However, they have continued once a week or so. I enjoy drinking iced tea, but because it does not happen every time I have tea, I am uncertain whether the caffeine is the cause.
Shakiness, sweating, and weakness is a common presentation of low sugars, especially on empty stomach. I understand you must chek you sugar this time when you feel it. Caffeine is unlikely to be the cause.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Mahboob Ur Rahman, General & Family Physician
