Can Cervical Biopsy Be Performed Without Prior Apo-misoprostol Insertion In Vagina?

Hello, I am seeing my gyn tomorrow @ @2:30. I picked up my prescription today and my pharmacist said I should insert the Apo-Misoprostol 200CG high up into my vagina 24 hours before....well it's 9:19pm. Is it too late, should I cancel? How is the biopsy performed? Thank you!
