Can Chalazion Be Removed During Pregnancy?

Hi I ve had a chalazion for 7 months now and I am 28weeks pregnant. I ve tried hot compresses but they ve not reduced the lump at all. It s gradullay been getting bigger over these months and is causing some discomfort. Can I have it removed while pregnant??

Hi,

As a physician, I would like to tell you that, in your condition, your chalazion could be operated if needed only. As the drugs needed to be given in surgery can't be given in your case. Thus, I would advise that you should visit a good MS Surgeon and take a clinical advise that should it be operated or not.
