Can Chemotherapy For Breast Cancer Have Affected The Immune System?
about 20 years ago I went through breast cancer, mastectomy, reconstruction and chemo, and have had a very low thyroid for the past 24 years. I believe that the chemo treatment severely affected my immune system. I have developed a couple of treatable skin conditions, the specialists mentioned that the conditions were immune system related. Now I seem to be developing rheumatoid arthritis in the knees and other joins, and get an occasional painful sensation similar to an electric shock in the knee area. I am not sure what specialist I should consult.

The Rheumatologist will confirm the presence of joint disease.Tests to do: Ct scan, chest. abdomen/pelvis Rheumatoid factor full hemogram.
