Can Children Get Molliscum Contagiosum In And Around The Mouth?
Can children get Molliscum in and around the mouth? A doctor at my local hospital diagnosed my 2 year old daughter with Molliscum or hand foot and mouth but since its not on her hand or feet its possible that its molliscum however they said there is nothing they can give her to heal it. Its been 6 days and she still wont eat as it hurts too much with the sores in and around her mouth, I would very much like to treat her with something to make it go away.

Molluscum and hand foot mouth disease both are viral diseases.And both can happen in children.In molluscum small bubble like vesicles occur in any part of body mostly on back and hands and they get time ( months or even year ) to disappear .But hand foot mouth disease is also self limiting and bubble like vesicles appear especialy in mouth( throat) ,hands and feet which take 15 to 20 days to disappear.Both diseases need no treatment and are self lmiting.
Since your child is having feeding problem,give her soups,rice dal puri,fruit juices and bannana,to be easy to eat.
