Can Children With Dells Ears Swim?

My son was born with dells in both ears and I have been told by his dr to make sure they stay clean, my question is can he get in the pool with me? Are there problems that will arise from being in swimming as he gets old enough to actually swim. He is about 15 lbs and 4 and a half months old
