Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Can Chlamydia Elevate Bilirubin Levels And Cause Jaundice?
Can chlamydia cause billirubin levels to be high & have jaundice in the whites of eyes? Been tested for all hepatitis, blood work to check liver, ct scan & ultrasound on liver, pancreas, gallbladder & kidneys all came back fine, but got a positive chlamydia test & put on antibiotics.
If panels are within range (liver function test) then there is no need to get anxious! It's only in few individuals it can lead to it but you just complete your antibiotics course and have a follow up regularly! That much is required. Learn pranayama, it helps to develop immunity (these are tools for better outcomes) and relieve anxiety and yield better prognosis when combined with treatment!
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Sunny Madar, General & Family Physician
