Can Chlamydia Infection Be Transmitted Through Sexual Contact?

My boyfriend and I were both virgins and have been having sex for about a year. He found a bump and the Dr. said it could be chlamydia. The Doctor also said that it can be transmitied by just having sexual contact with bacteria, not the actual disease. is this true?

Chlamydia is transmitted through sexual contacts who is infected with this disease.
It is more transmitted when multiple sexual partners.
Treatment is required or both the partners.
Tablet Azithromycine and tab doxycyclin is very useful but take after consultation of your treating doctor.
Use condom every time for prevention.
