Can Coming Off Gianvi Stop Irregular Vaginal Spotting?

I recently began taking Gianvi, not as a contraceptive, but as a cycle controller because my doctor said to take Yaz but my insurance only covered the generic. I have been experiencing annoying spotting, which is a common side effect, but I do not want to continue taking it because it is not worth it to me for my acne to get worse and all of the spotting. Is it okay to stop in the middle of a pack?
