Can Concussion Cause Fever?

Is it possible to get a high fever with a concussion? My daughter was hit in the face by a volleyball yesterday, and now has a 103.5 degree fever. Coincidence? I don t know if she experienced a concussion. She did experience an immediate headache that was significantly relieved by Ibuprofen and Tylenol.

Hi,

Yes... it might because the brain has got the thermoregulatory center.
Kindly visit a neurologist and he might procure a brain scan to rule out internal injury.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
