Can Constantly Vomiting After Eating Food Get Automatic?

I know someone I suspect is bulimic. She has been throwing up almost her entire life. She is in her 40 s. Can constantly doing this become automatic? Like every time she eats something now she throws it up without even trying. They are going to put in a sort of pacemaker device.

I think it is learning. We need to delearn whole process by regular psychotherapy, reassurance and empathy. It takes time but nothing is impossible
