Can Consumption Of 60mg Of Adderall For A Long Time, Test Positive For Meth?

hello. i am on parole in ca. today i went in to see my antisemitic, nazi parole officer. She tells me i tested positive for meth. I am prescribed 60mg of generic adderall a day. shes fully aware i take these meds . and said i tested positive for both amphetamine and methamphetamine. The amphetamine isnt a prob because its prescribed by a doctor. ive never taken meth in my life! I got so mad, i almost passed out! i was told by a doctor years ago that the high amount of adderall i take, 60mg a day can show up on a drug test as meth, so keep that in mind when applying for a job, etc. Is this true? Can 60mg of adderall a day for long continuous use be the reason I tested positive for meth? what can i do to prove my innocence? my parole officer said there s no way humanly possible the drug test is wrong and that no matter what, the 60mg of adderall a day i take could not have made the test show positive for meth?? she gave me a choice. get the doctor that prescribed my adderall to write a letter, stating that in his opinion, high dosages of adderall for a long period of time, could possibly, and in certain circumstances make a drug urinalysis test show positive for both amphetamine and methamphetamine. if I cant do that ill have to enroll in a drug diversion class 3 nights a week for 3 months! i do not want to say anything to my doctor, because i don t want him to know im on parole! This is really messed up. Can you please give me advice here. thank you for your time...

Amphetamine and methamphetamine are basically the same molecule with very little differences chemically speaking. A not surprised one can be mistaken for the other and tests can also light up false positive when these drugs are being tested. Stand by the truth and let them know it is very possible. The best thing to do is to get your doctor to intervene unless you want to go for classes for three months which in my opinion would not be very justified. There is nothing wrong in letting your doctor know you ran into problems with your prescription medications. That's exactly why he's there. I hope this helps. I wish you well.
