Can Contraceptive Pills Affect My Menstrual Cycles?

Hello, I m on 21 day contraceptive pill and I just finished the 5 white tablets and was about to start the brown ones. I accidentally took another white one from the same packet (the white ones before the red zone). Will this effect my cycle? Do I need to take another brown tablet which will make that 2 tablets in one day? Or do I just continue like usual tomorrow? Will I need to use a second contraceptive method from now on and if so for how long?

Hello,

You do not need to take another brown tablet, a total of two brown tablets a day because brown tablets contain only iron, they do not contain any hormones. So, I would advise you to just continue using the tablets as you should not on and you should be fine.

I hope this answers your query.
I remain at your disposal for further medical assistance.
