Can Coughing Causes Heart Beating Fast And Breathing?

Hi, I don't know if its just because I'm sick and coughing a lot, but this is the second time this has happened... I feel like its hard for me to control my breathing and then my heart starts beating really fast, it's never happens before. Just a little concerned. Could you give me an idea of what it may be?

Pulmonologist 's  Response
Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Breathlessness and tachycardia (rapid heart rate) are commonly seen in bronchitis and lung infection.
So better to consult pulmonologist and get done
1. Clinical examination of respiratory system
2. Chest x ray to rule out lung infection.
3. PFT (Pulmonary Function Test) to rule out bronchitis.
If all these investigations are normal than probably anxiety is the cause.
Stress, tension and anxiety can also cause similar symptoms. So avoid stress and tension. Be relax and calm. Don't worry, you will be alright.
First rule out Pulmonary causes.
Hope I have solved your query.
Wish you good health. Thanks.
