Hello and welcome to HCM.
Your concern is understandable.
As an
Urologist, let me assure you, that as a diabetic and hypertensive, the kidney can develop changes, called Nephropathy, where
creatinine rises.
As your s.creatinine of 1.76, is above the normal limits of 1.4, if you keep the
diabetes well controlled ,with HbA1C below 6.5, and take your medications regularly, with exercise and diabetic diet, the creatinine may come down.
You do need to check for
prostate gland enlargement, with an
ultrasound scan of abdomen and prostate, which can also raise the creatinine.
You can send me copy of reports for an expert opinion. Get well soon.
