Can Culture And Sensitivity Test Be Performed During Antibiotic Therapy?

I am already in an antibiotic therapy for tooth infection which was prescribed empirically. Now my doctor suggest me to take a culture and sensitivity test, is this possible now? As far I know for culture and sensitivity I have to stop my antibiotic.

Hi
You can go ahead with culture and sensitivity and still continue with treatment. Culture would suggest the drug sensitivity/ resistance of the microorganisms, so that would decide if you have to change antibiotics or continue with the same.
