Can Damage Of Condom During Sex Increase Risk Of HIV?
hi i had a sex today and i wear a anti fungal kodex condom..and it was broke during a sex ..im not sure about my partner so is it possible to get hiv ? how anti fungal condom works? broke ? or unbroke ? tnx
Thank you for query. The chances of transmission of HIV by unprotected vaginal route is 1/ 200 to 1/2000 even if the partner is HIV infected. It is least as you have protected intercourse.so relax and do not worry. As the condom is torn during the intercourse the chances become almost equivalent to normal vaginal intercourse.Condom mainly protects by barrier method preventing contact between 2 partners.the status of partner may be negative also.so to relive your anxiety you can get yourself tested for HIV(HIV RNA PCR) after 10 days of exposure. You can get back for any clarifications with details.Dr Bharatesh D Basti Dermatologist and venereologist.
