Can Decreased Brain Activity Be Due To Picks Disease?

A relative has decreased brain activity in the frontal lobes of his brain. A scan also said something about the activity in the temporal anterior of the parietal lobe. He is 52 and is DX with Alzheimers. It sounds more like Picks disease??? Do physicians just generalize as no definitive dx is available for Picks until death?
