Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had sores located inside my nostrils that have taken over a month to heal and not sure where this came from and what caused it to happen. Scabs have formed inside my nose and causes problems with breathing, especially at night. I know that I don't drink enough fluids throughout the day and thought maybe these sores were due to being dehydration. Please hellp.
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain sores inside the nose can be due to infection inside the nostrils and can be due to Herpes virus infection causing Cold Sores.. It can also be due to bacterial infection causing Impetigo..
I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like nasal swab culture and blood tests can help in diagnosis and treatment can be planned accordingly..
In case of Viral infection antiviral medication like Acyclovir can help.. In case of Bacterial infection antibiotics can be advised.. Take decongestant nasal spray to ease in breathing.. Do cool compresses over the nose..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
