Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
hello, I am 27 year old married. I have regular periods but this month my periods got delayed for 7 days so far. my last LMP was on 11th November. and I had sexual contact on 5th December. I was expecting my periods on 10th December. I don't have any pregnancy symptoms. I am I really pregnant? please advice.
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...
Yes delay in periods could be due to pregnancy. Pregnancy symptoms ( morning sickness, nausea, breast tenderness, etc) can be absent in some cases & could take weeks of pregnancy to start. Delay in periods could also be due to some hormonal disturbance, so you should first ruleout pregnancy possibility. Now your periods are delayed by more than 2 weeks & you should do a Home pregnancy test by using first morning urine sample.
Refer to a gynaecologist Hope this information helps
