Can Delay In Periods Be Due To Pregnancy?

I am 19 and am a week and a half late on my period. Last week I went to the doctors and they provided a negative urine exam. I took a home test yesterday and it turned out negative as well. I have experienced Headaches, Nausea, and my breast always feel cold I had sex but he was wearing a condom, and we didn t notice anything unusual. Could I be pregnant?

Hi,
Two negative pregnancy tests in the current scenario mostly point to a negative pregnancy. Your symptoms may be seen both in very early pregnancy as well as in the premenstrual stage. You may go for the estimation of the serum beta-hCG titres to confirm/exclude pregnancy, if you have never been so late with a period. This may be followed by a trans-vaginal sonogram to know the status of the pelvic organs. If pregnancy is negative, you may either wait for a couple more days for your period to arrive, or use hormones to induce a period. Hope this helps.
