Can Delayed Periods And Blood Spotting Be Signs Of Pregnancy?

hi, i was just wondering if you could answer my question? i went to the bathroom today and thought i saw slight blood but didn t think anything of it, later on i realized that my period is 4 days late, so i thought it was my period, turns out when i went to the bathroom later on there was no blood, than just a few minutes ago, there was blood again. Could i be pregnant?

Hello dear,I understand your concern.In my opinion delayed period along with spotting suggests abnormal pregnancy like abortion or ectopic pregnancy.BUt it is confirmed after a positive urine pregnancy test.So I suggest you to do a urine pregnancy test.The urine pregnancy test gives accurate results if done a week after missed period.If the test is negative repeat the test after 10 days and wait for spontaneous onset of periods.If no periods till then consult gynecologist for furthur management.
