Can Delayed Periods Be A Sign Of Pregnancy?

Hi, i had unprotected sex on December 17 and 23rd. In between those to dates i had some spotting. im suppose to have my period on the 2nd of January. Its now the 7th of january and still no period. Iv never had a late period, so i took a pregnancy home test today and it came out negative. what does this mean? could i be pregnant?

hi,since your upt is negative and you say had an episode of spotting in between in all likelihood it is delayed periods due to hormonal imbalance.you can repeat a upt after 3 days if still negative it rules out pregnancy.then you can take tab devry 10 mg twice a day for 5 days and after stopping the medicine withing a week you ll get your periods.all the best take care.
