Can Depo Provera Cause Hard And Bleeding Gums?

Can depo provera cause my gums to harden and bleed? During my check up at the dentists, he told me my gums were too hard and suggested that my contraception could be the problem. I regularly bleed when I brush my teeth and suffer from recurrent mouth ulsers and after my doctor advised me that my blood tests were normal I put my gum problems down to my diet. But could my dentist be right? I ve never heard of it before.
