Can Diabetes Occur In Children ?
My son was passing lot of urine from 2 monhts. We went to a child specialist and his urine was checked. The urine test showed no infection but the doctos says that his urien sugars are high. He has asked us to get a blood sugar test done. Is there is possible of my son getting diabetbes at this age

Oh god, help these children. I have diabetes and suffering a lot which I was tested at 46 yrs of my age. If these children have the problem since their early years I think they suffer a lot. I am sorry for all those parents who have children with sugar

Type 1: Insulin dependent
But now a days due to sedentary lifestyle, increased childhood obesity ; even type 2 (Non Insulin dependent ) is also seen .
Follow healthy lifestyle with balanced diet and regular exercise.

ya,it is type 1 diabetes mellitus.it can b type 2 if he is too much obese.not following healthy lifestyle.always infront of computer or tv,having fast foods,not having outdoor games. so encourage him to have good lifestyle.

yes it is possible dear. my friends daughter is 10 years old now. she was diagnosed to have sugar at age of six. nowadays anthing is possible.

Yes, the children can get the sugar. This is type 1 diabetes seen in children. It can occur at young age. It is mainly due to less presence of insulin production in the body of the child.

yes this is called juvenile onset diabetes and i think they should be on life long insulin..
