Can Discharge Of Brown Colored Blood Indicate An Infection?

hi i had and abortion two weeks ago on sunday healed properly and my periods stopped until i drunk alcohol on saturday last week had heavy cramps pees for a few days and they went after taking flagyl now this wednesday have had cramps on and off,sharp pains on and off,back ache and the whole left leg is hurting the sharp pains are excrutiating and i am at work. i have a discharge of blood very little and brown with a smell of normal discharg.do i have an infection or my uterus is slowly disinterating...am worried...

Thanks for posting in HCM.
I have read your description and understand your concern.
Discharge of brown coloured blood does not indicate infection. It generally states that there could be some remnant mucosal tissue which was not passed out completely during previous periods, and has been passed intermittently or just before next periods. This could have happened as you have recent history of abortion as well.
If this continues to happen even after 6 to 8 weeks of after next two subsequent cycles, you need to get clinical examination done by consulting Gynecologist. Otherwise, there is nothing much to worry about it.
