Can Diverticulitis And Cataract In Eye Be Related?

I had a cataract operation & was also diagnosed with diverticulitis some years ago. I was also diagnosed with cataract in the other eye. I am currently undergoing chemeo for multiple myeloma. How are the above conditions linked? I also have watery eyes and do notice some crystals or residue exuding from the eyes
