Can Dizziness Occur Due To Extreme Hot Weather?

I have been light headed or dizzy for more than a week, its on and off. It s been very hot lately. So I m not sure if it s from the weather. I never faint but I feel it coming and I m scared to drive cause I feel dizzy at times while driving. I haven t checked my blood pressure yet. Sometimes I get it the first thing in the morning after dropping my kid to school and I get it usually while I am sitting down. I also have been getting headaches too.

Hello!
I read your question and understand your concern.
Hot weather can cause the skin vessels to enlarge causing a lower blood perfusion to the internal organs and the brain. Low blood pressure induced by hot weather and dehidratation would be another cause of your symptoms.
I would recommend you to measure your blood pressure and have a lot of fluids and caffeine during the day to avoid dehidratation.
Hope to have been of help!
Greetings! Dr. Abaz Quka
