Can Dosage Of Oxycodone Be Increased To Manage Extreme Pain?

I have bulging disks on right side along with spinal stenosis. I have herniated discs on left side. I have had 2 epidural shots that did not work. I developed a dvt behind my right knee and then multiple pieces broke off and went to both lungs. I can t take nsaids because I had gastric bypass surgery. 5 mg of oxycodone don t help with pain any more. Can I increase the dose?

Hi,

Yes, this dose can be increased or another drug added to make sure the pain is well controlled. However, you should discuss this with the doctor to make sure you are having enough of it.

I wish you well.
