Can Double Dosage Of Duphaston Be Taken To Increase Progesterone Levels?

Hi, doc, my gynecologist prescribed me duphaston with combination of inofolic and neodipar for pco s, i have to perform ummrah tomorrow and my periods started yesterday without taking duphaston, my gynecologist asked me to take duphaston after ummrah, thats what i was doing, but now my periods is like spotting, suggest me if i should take double dose of duphaston to increase progestrone level that may stop my periods for a while, kindly suggest me best, as i really need to be virgin for such Holy place

Thanks for asking.
Once started, menstrual bleeding is unlikely to stop with what so ever drug you attempt.Even Duphaston may be effective for a day or two & will again start bleeding.
This increases the hormonal imbalance & would affect the effect gained with previous days.
So don't attempt such unscientific way to stop bleeding. I am sorry, but you should start for avoiding menses at such holy place... far before you start.
consult your treating doctor for more specific advise.
