Can Drinking Large Amounts Of Coca Cola Cause Rectal Bleeding?

My wife has been bleeding from her Rectum occasionally for about 3 months. She has had tests at the hospital and they have ruled out anything serious such as cancer. She does drink a lot of Coca Cola. Often 2 liters per day. I read somewhere that this could cause rectal bleeding. Is this possible
