Hi doctor, I m 38 +weeks and heavily constipated. I try alot to push and pass the stool but still no result.only senna leaf works and brings out all the stuff out in the form of diarrhea. But I get sooo much dehydrated and some times deadly cramps as if the contractions have started. But I m afraid to continue it as I heard it has side effects on my baby. Is duphalac fine at this moment. Can I take it daily until my delivery.it is due in a weeks time. ..and also want to know if duphalac has any side effects on the baby . Please advise.....!!!!

Hi Thank you for asking HCM I have gone through your query. In pregnancyDuphalac is used only when it is clearly needed. The benefits should be outweighs with risk by your doctor before using this. There are possible side effects like some get allergic reactions bloatingnausea abdominal cramps etc for Duphalac.Take more fibres as salads, drink more water. If not helping then discuss with your doctor for using Duphalac.Hope this may help you. Let me know if you have any further query.
