can endometriosis & PCOS co-exist in the same patient.I have seen this pat buy USG who has a bulky uterus,features of chronic cervicities with pelvic varicosities & associated PCO pattern of ovaries.The uterus is hypoecoic & heterogenous like the ones seen in pts with DUB.Pls shed some light here AAAAA Guwahati
Hello thanks for your query. Endometriosis and PCOS can definitely coexist in the same patient. They are in fact frequently seen together. PCOS of course is not just a sonographic diagnosis, but substantiated by hormonal evaluation and clinical features too. Endometriosis if more of a clinical diagnosis, confirmed by laparoscopy.
