Can Eptoin Tablets Cause Slurry Speech And Confusion?

Mrs Geeta age 69 , after administration of acyclovir antiviral intra venous injections for harpes zoster attack found to have heavy tounge & slurry speech, some times unable to speak and difficulty to remember persons close to her . she is presently taking eptoin tab BD but no much improvement,. Hence Dr. (Psychiatrist) was referred who prescribed Tab Haloperidol 25 mg.three times a day. This worsen her speech. Hence this tab was discontinued and her speech improved at once except occasional state of mind in confusion.Kindly , note that eptoin tab is not stopped & being administered continuously for last 15 days. Further note that after Herpes Zoster , she being diabetic she had UTI for which 14 days of Antibiotics namely Propenum were administered 3 times a day. Pl advise, whether to stop Eptoin tabs & continue with usual tabs meant for diabetis. RK Ovalekar Husband of Mrs. Geeta
