Can Excessive Physical Stress In The Form Of Exercises Prove Dangerous For The Body?
Hello! I m Pablo, I have 16 years, and I am from Brazil. I almost never made any kind of exercise in my life, but in the last 6 months my life made a 180 degrees turn, and now I m walking way more than I did before (as in never taking of from my couch to walking in a steady rhythm almost 10Km), and now I m even learning Karate, but my mother is really afraid of this change, saying that I maybe even die with all this physical stress in my body. I m not feeling that I m overdoing, but can this be really dangerous to me?
Hello and welcome to Healthcare Magic. Thanks for your query.
With regards to exercising, it is always better to increase your schedule gradually and not drastically. The reasons are 1) sudden physical stress or sudden weight loss is not good for the body 2) overenthusiastic efforts initially and not being able to maintain the schedule may not be very useful. So, please plan a more gradual increase in your exercise schedule. Also, if you are having any other symptoms like feeling overconfident, racing thoughts, expansive plans, grandiose ideas, decreased need for sleep, etc., then please consult your doctor immediately.
Wish you all the best.
