Can Exercising Show Up As Muscle Inflammation And Soreness In A Test?

I exercised before seeing rheumatologist for first time. This made the exam confusing for me since I was also sore from working out. He left voicemail saying not all test are back but I show up on blood test with muscle inflammation which he says is not caused by any meds I am taking. Did I mess up my test by exercising? Could that be why? I believe I have RA.
