Can Extreme Fatigue And Stress Be Related?

i have been suffering from extreme fatigue for 5 weeks [ hot flushes at night ]. i feel like my brain is in a fog. had blood tests all tests showed nothing wrong physically. in fact i am in very good shape according to the doctor. he said my condition is stress related. how long will it take for this fatigue and fog to lift. i am concerned i am stuck with it. is there anything i can do to speed things up?
