Can Extreme Stomach Pain Actually Be A Muscular Tear?

Hi, Have had extreme stomach for the last 3 years, most of the time it is severe. Have iced it, heated it and have a stomach band. Cat scan shows no problem and they have all concluded the same thing, stomach muscle tear. What specialist should I see to fix it.

Hi.
Thanks for your query.

To make it certain, remember that the muscle tear can not cause such a pain for such a long time of 3 years.
C T scan does not show everything.
SO a clinical . physical examination is the most important thing in such cases as well as relevant history, which you should have provided for us to help you more.
The causes of pain in abdomen for such a long time of 3 years can be as follows with reference to your history:::
Can be IBS- the causes can be stress and anxiety and some of the foods / beverages not suitable for you.
If all the investigations are normal take a long course of anti-spasmodic, anxiolytic and supportive medicines.
IT is possible that Endoscopies may show some problem and the best diagnostic tool in your case can be Diagnostic Laparoscopy.
